I wish I could download the address into my window media player so I could play it though there instead of the website. But after the windows 10 update I guess I'm lucky internet explorer still works.

Can anyone confirm this port is working? I put it in Rarmaradio and when I hit play it just sits there. All my other stations in there work.

It was a bad day for listening to AT40. The stream timed out this morning, so I gave up on it for the nighttime airing but it timed out several times, including right now.

The stream timed out several times during this morning's AT40 as well. Is this happening only to me?

I have to refresh my browser sometimes as the stream seems to freeze. If you refresh and the station comes back on within a few seconds, I would say it's not anything Jeff can work on and it's your device.

I am looking at buying a new computer sometime between now and Christmas as my current desktop is a little over 4 years old. I also occasionally have trouble with the stream timing out. It seems like whenever billyonaire is having troubles, I am too, but I wasn't listening the other day. Does anyone have any tips on what features I should look for and what I should avoid to optimize my WBME listening? I'll be getting another desktop.

Personally, Using Internet Explorer works best. Firefox never works for me.
Others may have tips. I know some use VLC player to tune in.

Adam31 ansered :"I am doing the same, it appears the internet explorer way of getting to WBME is broken now. Roadrunner, please go to this link for more information: wbmeprograms.proboards.com/thread/425/new-ip-port" Hi, I used to play and record WBME via "radiosure!" I downloaded the VLC Player and got WBME running there - but so far I don´t know how to record the stream there. What will happen with the other WBME adresses now like radiostream123. Will they be closed?? I hope not cause I still prefer listen via this adress and record via "radiosure!". It has been so easy with this fantastic little radio tool.

I can't get to WBME at all right now. I tried IE, Edge, and Chrome (only IE has worked for me lately). I tried all 4 options at the top of this page. I am not planning on listening to a program until Gold Rush on Friday morning, but I will check back tomorrow to see if anything has changed. If nothing has changed, I will just sleep in on Friday.
Correction: I plan to listen to AT40 11/15/1975 Thursday afternoon. Hopefully it will work.

Hey Mitch (and anyone else reading ths)--
I generally listen to the WBME stream through a VLC player using Firefox (broswer). The stream rarely times out and I rarely have trouble getting it to work.
You may want to try that.

I guess I won't hear the AT40 countdown this afternoon.

Hey Mitch,
Download the VLC player that I mentioned via Firefox and then you should be able to link it to listening to the WBME stream (that's what I'm doing right now).

I downloaded VLC Player 2.0.0 and WBME still says "A plugin is needed to display this content" and there is no stream playing that I can hear.

I did find VLC player but I couldn't get any further than that. I give up for the day. I'll just miss Gold Rush and CT40 11-11-89 tomorrow. We're having a blizzard so I will just sleep in. I'll hire someone locally to get me set up, but that may take a few days. Over and out. Thanks for trying to help me.

Before you call someone go to the side below - there you find a very good discription where you have to fill in the pls stream adress in post 1 and what has to be done with the VLCPlayer to record the stream. It helped me a lot, so hopefully it will finally help you to get for all open questions a solution! www.vlchelp.com/record-online-radio-streams-mp3/In the first and second step it shows where you have to fill in the WBME PLS adress. The following steps are for preparing the player to record the stream. Good luck!! P.S: I still hope the "old" way via radiostream123 and the "radiosure!" programm will work again sometime, too. I still wonder why it works on a smartphone and not on my PC. That would mean lie Jeff said generally the stream works there and just something is wrong on my system !?

I'm guessing the problem is in some new Windows update because I was listening on Internet Explorer up until Monday when the problems started.

I'm guessing the problem is in some new Windows update because I was listening on Internet Explorer up until Monday when the problems started. Same here, I've tried as much as I can with everything going on, and couldn't figure it out yet. Wouldn't surprise me if Microsoft screwed up everything again. It has to be something with Internet Explorer though, because my recordings work fine in Rarmaradio. The embedded WMP seems not to be accessing the stream. It's no secret Microsoft wants everyone to start using Edge and not IE any longer.

Thanks for all the help guys. I am getting closer, but I am not there yet. I get to the open Media page where it asks me to enter a network URL, and every guess I have tried gets rejected. The error message I get is "Your input can't be opened." I need to know exactly what to type there and then hopefully I am home free. Here are some of the guesses I have tried: listen.pls www.wbme.radiostream123.com50.22.218.101:24610/listen.pls
