We are having a hell of a wind storm right now. Had one last week and were lucky.
If we go off air, that's probably why.
Warning for the wind is through about 9pm EST this evening.

Yup off.. Not sure when we went off but we'll be back eventually. Definitely after the storm when we have power...

Yup off.. Not sure when we went off but we'll be back eventually. Definitely after the storm when we have power... I'm one of the lucky ones that still has power, though I did lose a part of my fence because of the storm. Just to give everyone a quick view of how massive the storm was, as of an hour ago (7PM) there were about 84,000 people here without power. We had wind guest up to 86 MPH (2 miles off the official record). There has been massive property damage across the city, but thankfully, there has been no reported loss of life. There are streets that are closed off due to down power lines, down powers, and trees. Needless to say it is a mess in some parts around here. Just be sure that as soon as we are up and running, either Jeff or myself will let you know. Thanks to everyone for hanging in there with us. You all are amazing!

Damn the sports media must've thought Tim Tebow's spring training debut was a big deal for all that hot air.

Eek! So New York had it as bad as here in Michigan, eh? Somehow a short stack of wooden shelves that was sitting on peg board above my car in the garage got jostled; they fell onto the front of the car. Not too much damage, just a couple cracks to the windshield, front side was dented, and driver's side mirror was knocked loose. I now have it wound with a bungee cord; it will not stay in place without it. Oh and let's hope you are more fortunate with getting power back than some folks here will be - reports from some places are that it won't be restored until at least the weekend.

Glad to hear that no one was hurt. Weird! I lost power at my house for a couple of hours this morning in the Atlanta area, too. I notice the station is down but hopefully will be back up in time for part 2 of the Top 100 of 1967.

Good to hear everyone is ok, I saw some of the stuff in Michigan on the news. We had a tornado go through about 25 miles south of here during the severe weather last week.

We will assess and figure it out depending on when we get power back and can get back on air.

I was going to listen to part II of music expert retro for 1967, and realized stream server is off and now noticed it when I read that the storm could be the cause. So wonder if it will start part II of 1967 once the power in your place works?

As I said elsewhere, I'm thinking of (mostly) airing what was scheduled for this week, next week. Monday and Tuesday shows would be different but Wednesday on would be the same. Even if we're a week off on Shadoe. I don't know. Ill have to see when we have power and then see what I'll do.

What's the temperature in your house? I had a 20 hour power outage about 4 years ago and it got down to 47 before the power came back on.

I recall my first job in radio back in 1979, the area I worked got hit by Hurricane Frederic in South Alabama and many people were without power for up to a week. The station I worked at had an old WWII generator that kept us on the air through the hurricane and I personally stayed at the station for 36 hours. The station, as well as emergency services (police, fire, hospital), were among the first places to have the power restored.
So to Jeff and his family I say I am praying for you all to have power back soon--especially in this cold weather you are experiencing.

Great Story Joe!! I'm with you, praying for Jeff, his family and his community to get through this. Glad to hear the power is back on, that makes life SO MUCH better. The internet would be great, but we can do without the station for awhile if we have to. Just glad you all are ok. Hopefully we'll have the station back soon.

Guess who's back. Back again!
As of noon we're back on the air. For the rest of the day we're doing a "test run" in case they have to flicker the power again.
Regular schedule will be updated later for next week. For now, enjoy the tunes!

Regular schedule will be updated later for next week. For now, enjoy the tunes! Like the John Sebastian tune "Welcome Back"!! So we just get mixes the rest of the day. I was hoping to hear the Shadoe replay & the 3/9/74 AT40 but I'm sure we'll hear them sometime even if their a week late. It's not as bad as the local station from where I grew up. Every Saturday at varied times because they aired local sports they did the Top 50 from the Hot 100 but he'd only have about 1/2 the songs & at least a month or 2 behind but it was fun to listen to.

The schedule for this week will be the originally scheduled Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday thru Friday will be last weeks.
Except that Shadoe in,the AM will be this weeks scheduled show and in the evening last weeks show.
And this weekend, each will air one time. Saturday overnight will be this weeks Shadoe, Sunday afternoon will be last weeks show.
AND the weekend AT40 and ACC will be one airing of this weekends lost shows and one airing of this coming weekends scheduled shows.
Everything else will fall into place. Updated schedule later on.

Hi. I haven't been able to connect to your station since that power outage. The VLC player does not come up like before. Do I need to reset something? Hey I had some trouble with the VLC player myself over the week end and have to keep copying a link and putting it in the VLC player's network connection every few days. A bit of a pain but it takes just about a minute to fix. Give it a try. Joe
