Proboards was down for a little bit... it's back up now so I can say The 50 Years Of Number Ones is up to the O's:. 4/11/18 at 3:34p Opposites Attract by Paula Abdul is playing.
EDIT: Interesting how most of the "O" songs I heard were from the 80s or early 90s, when this retrospect is supposed to cover 1955-2004.

It did. Can't help what hit #1 and if all were the same timeframe, so be it.

It did. Can't help what hit #1 and if all were the same timeframe, so be it. Right, not saying any we're omitted, just thought it ironic. I listened to part way through the RS and there were older songs. Through my whole time listening I don't recall hearing an early 21st century selection. Randall's intro of The Reflex and outro of Rock Me Amadeus were legendary

Just wanted to give a big "THANK You" to Jeff, Randall & Tom for the #1 special (50 years of #1 hits in alphabetical order--A to Z). Every time I listen I enjoy trying to guess what song will be next and it's great to hear the song diversity that is pop music, as well. I am sure the program was a lot of work but it's always fun to listen to it.

We talked about doing other things. Like every top 40 hit if a decade in ABC order, or all the country, r&b or AC #1's

Something about his girlfriends "Reflex" and went off on VH1 for saying Falco was a one hit wonder.....hang on a minute, Vienna is calling...

Imagine doing all Hot 100 songs A-Z for a year. You'd have some really obscure stuff that never hit the Top 40. 1968, for example: Baby You Come Rolling 'Cross My Mind by The Peppermint Trolley Company

The whole top 100 would be a lot more I'd think but maybe not.
If I wasn't so busy with WRFZ, it might have happened.

I was wondering if you could do this Jeff : offer us a non stop music bubbling under show ( # 100 to # 41 ) followed by the MERC Top 40 of the same week ?

The whole top 100 would be a lot more I'd think but maybe not. If I wasn't so busy with WRFZ, it might have happened. Playing every song that made the Hot 100 for a year would be a big project. In the 60s, the average was 689 songs per year. In the 70s it was 534 and in the 80s it averaged 417.

Yep, this time is the last time.
Now. A loaded question....
Are there any requests for next schedule?
I have several MERC from January on from WRFZ that will be in the mix. Otherwise, I will have a few repeats of specials but that's about it.
DJJOE says he has more cashbox countdowns he's making for the next schedule.
I can air Adams Shadow series.
ACC got a rest this time around so maybe that.
Years of AT40?
Other delights? I may add in the occasional music mix of about 2 hours just for something else to air.
