The first 2 times through the schedule, the top of the order started at approximately 12.01pm and 12.40pm. Please start the 3rd time through at least 4 or 5 hours away from Noon so that the same shows that were in the middle of the night on the first 2 run throughs show up at a different time of the day this final time. Thanks.

Ok. Thanks for letting me know. Wasn't aware. I try to make it between 6 and 10 hours past a full even day so it rotates the shows. I'll try to start it late in the day. After 6pm. I'll try to remember to give a heads up in advance.

It will be for a bit. I'm moving. So are you no longer based in Rochester? We moved across town. It'll be a week or maybe two while we settle in. Smaller house and we're cramped. But when I can, I'll be set up.

Got it, Rochester is a big place! I did the move three years ago this month, what a pain! I wish you best of luck in your new place.

Please get your family moved safely--Make restarting the WBME stream one of the last things you do. And by the way, Congrats on the MERC's running on the station in North Carolina. As one of my ex-employees used to say 'Cool Beans'.

I know I haven't posted about it here but about two weeks ago I injured my back. It seems I have a bulged or slipped disc in my lower back. I'm working on getting back to my regular job and moving was hell, so at some point I'll hopefully get it back I'm just worried about working and making money. luckily I get sick pay but at the same time each doctor's appointment with my terrible health insurance is $50.

Jeff, I'll be praying for everything you've got going on right now. Back issues, moving, worried about work and doctors appts and bills. That's a lot to have on your plate. I've got back issues myself, thankfully they're mild and manageable for the most part, but I feel for you. I know firsthand the frustrations they cause. Like DJJOE said, make this station one of the last things you get around to. I do miss it, but you've got enough to deal with.

My family moved a lot when I was a child. In second grade, I was in four different schools in three states...and that was before the Christmas break. No joke.

I won't be doing programming there anymore. Decided to step down to concentrate on my shows.
Entered the hospital Monday afternoon. Supposed to be discharged tomorrow, hopefully. 2 slipped discs and a herniated disc.
Hoping their plan of action works good.

Entered the hospital Monday afternoon (05/20). Supposed to be discharged tomorrow, hopefully. 2 slipped discs and a herniated disc. Hoping their plan of action works good. I just got caught up on your medical condition by reading on Facebook. It looks like you've got a long ways to go yet. I had a herniated disc in my back in 2002/2003 and that was sure no fun. But your back problem must be much more severe than mine was - I think I only missed about 2 days of work because of hospital/home confinement, plus missing some time for cortisone shots and physical theCrapy. I can understand why doing the third run-through of the current schedule is far from a top priority now. First things first. We're all behind you pulling for as speedy of a recovery as can be expected, but realizing your battle is still in the early stages. Take it one day at a time - you have no other choice.

Laying awake in pain, happened by....
Better in some ways, not at a good spot yet though.
Huge shooting pain that was shooting down my legs is gone. That pain was scary.
There's ouch that hurt... Ooh that hurt a lot... Jeez I gotta sit down.... Holy flying Fu.ck, was that lightning?... And what I had which I liken to demons shrieking while getting hit by a flaming iron bar.
That was what got me into the hospital.
Now it's aching and hurts to get up/down and walk/get around. Physical ther.apy starts today so fingers crossed.
Was discharged from hospital Friday afternoon last week.

As Mitch indicated, the prayers and the thoughts of the members on this board are with you. I am sure Physical TheCrapy will be difficult but hopefully it will put you on the road to recovery. Please concentrate on your health and your family.
God Bless,
Joe

Jeff, I'll keep praying that this will get better. As I mentioned in a previous post, I deal with back problems as well. I've got two herniated discs and sciatica issues. Thankfully I've never had to go in the hospital. Your description of pain is spot on. For me... for the most part... most of the time, it's manageable. Dealing with an aging body ain't easy. Miss the station, but want your life to get better for sure. I've got plenty of shows to listen to in the meantime. :-) Take care

Currently listening to MERC 6-12-70... just learned that Edward Bear was actually a blues band and that they chose there name after "Winnie the Pooh" who's real name was "Edward the Bear"... I didn't know that about the band or Winnie... Thanks Jeff !!! On that show they had a song called "You, Me and Mexico"... it wasn't their "Last Song" though :-)

An update on me
Went back to the hospital for the weekend. Basically, the hospital I was at is terrible, one of the worst in Rochester. I question whether they have degrees at all. They had prescribed me a steroid to help my back and diminished the dosage too fast. Which rendered me almost immobile. So I went back and they did it again pretty much which made yesterday hell. Until I went to my doctor for an emergency appointment and she extended the full dose of the steroid for about 10 days which we think will be much better because not only will it help the pain and the mobility but it will allow me to also get better while that's going on. So we will see.

Thanks for the update, I'm sure we were all wondering how you are doing. America is great, but for the most part medical care in this country is not. With the exception of the highly educated specialists and surgeons that only the super rich can afford, I could go on and on about how bad it is....needs an overhaul for sure.

Yeah, it sure does.
Another update on me. I've been feeling so much better since the baseline steroid has stayed where it should be for now. The main worry I have is when we start diminishing the dose. But that comes mid next week. For now I'm enjoying feeling mostly like my old self.
Since being discharged from the hospital on May 24th, I have gotten 4 and 1/2 weeks worth of countdowns scripted for the return on July 6th. Which will be when we start airing on Bill Benjamin's magic 95.9 in North Carolina. I'm also going to email some stations to try to get more affiliates if you will.
Because I've been feeling so good, I'm planning on going into the studio and re-recording and episode for the marathon Bill Benjamin will be airing the week of July 4th. it will be random recent episodes that were pre-recorded but the one I want to air wasn't so I'm redoing it. It will be for the chart date of July 10th 1982.
When they do that Marathon July 1st will be four 60s episodes. July 2nd will be four 70s episodes. July 3rd will be four 80s episodes. They have their own marathon on 4th of July and then on the 5th will be four episodes that are specials. One of which will be the top 100 Beatles together and apart so there will be three specials aired that day. All four days that that airs will be from 6 a.m. until 10 pm. And then on July 6th will be the return and technical debut on Magic from 5 to 9 p.m. Eastern with the first part of the top 100 of 1973.
I'm sorry that wbma has taken a back seat with the back injury and the return of the countdown but hopefully at some point soon I will be able to resume broadcasting. Until then you can still enjoy Rochester free radio sunday's 8 to noon for replays of the countdown and Saturdays at 5 p.m. for the soul finger show.

All the best to you and your family.

Since everybody here has been so great with waiting and all those different things I will be tomorrow posting the mostly set schedule for magic 95.9 marathon of the Music Expert Retro Countdown the week of July 1st.
One of the show's is from the live days of Rochester free radio and I decided to re-record And re put together the show so that it had better sound than the live show did.
Otherwise most of the shows originally aired between last July and last November on Rochester Free Radio.
Except for the Friday July 5th marathon of the specials and I'll give you right now that you're going to get:
The Rolling Stone special at 6am EST, The Beatles special at 10am EST The Queen special at 6pm EST.
some of the finalists for that special were The Supremes one, the Weird Al one, the Eagles one and the Chicago one. But when I realized I had three classic British bands on my list and they would equal the 16 hours I needed for that Marathon, it kind of scheduled itself.

Jeff - Is getting the 3rd go-through of this schedule started getting anywhere near the top of your priority list, or are you still putting out major fires elsewhere? Is there quite a bit of re-hooking up equipment that still needs to be done following your move? I am just looking for a ballpark guesstimate for a start time. Thanks.
