Uhoh MERC affiliate WPNC is listed by the FCC where their license can be revoked in 60 days (from July 11) if their regulatory fees aren't paid.

Actually it's not--check out this link-- www.rbr.com/fcc-issues-twin-pay-up-or-lose-license-orders/I recall one station I worked at back in the 1980's went dark for 18 months, when the station went bankrupt (in a small town in Georgia)--and the new owners (the ones that I worked for) had to talk the FCC out of paying the old owners fines. The station celebrated it's 25th anniversary when I was there--although at the time I didn't know about the 18 months the station wasn't on the air.

No. Sunday was an accident. Hopefully it didn't start earlier today. Not sure why it would have.

I see that the number of stations carrying MERC is continuing to grow.
Congrats.

That reminds me of a couple of stations here in Indiana, one in operation for over 30 years that then went dark for over two due to the owners bankruptcy and finding a new owner willing to pay the fines. The other in the same city by the way, went dark after 34 years in operation because the FCC revoked the owner's licenses for being convicted as a child molester.

Drat! I missed hearing the MERC from the 1967, this past week end, but it looks like we'll get another show from the 1960's this week end (1969).
So pick out a time and station, countdown fans.

Interesting way to re-cap the Top 5 songs for the previous 4 years prior to 1964, on the August 29th show.
