Got a question.... would you like the same thing until December, when we'll have many specials rotating and maybe other things...
OR, would you like each month I cycle out past months. For example, as we hit September, take out August shows and add in December ones? Then after September, take them out in favor of January?
Thoughts?

I enjoy having multiple opportunities to catch up on the shows since life does rudely intrude and interrupt marathon listening. So I vote for the current format. Either way, I'm grateful for this channel. Thank you very much!

That is true... was just thinking about things, not sure otherwise, but when we do December for the one month it'll be some special stuff. Then in January I will do December through March shows. I'm guessing I'll keep this going for a while and if I do will change things up from time to time with what is put into the schedule. Mostly in terms of the order of what plays but, you never know.

While I am sure many miss the AT40 shows, Rick Dees, etc.--you are taking a chance that Premiere may try to shut this stream down, as they have threatened some others.
Since it's the same music, while not enjoy the MERC's.

Jeff, loving your continuous replays of older countdowns! Such fun! I did notice sizable glitches in the 10-23-65 and 10-24-87 programs. In '65, the last hour was filled with highly sped-up, repeating gibberish. The first half hour of '87 was at super-speed. Not a complaint; just wanted you to know. Thank you again for this wonderful service!

Looks like we are back to the top of the list (8-2-80)--so it took about 22 days to make it the rotation one time. The music of 1980 has a special place in my memory, as I did a year end countdown at a small station I worked at in Alabama, ahh the good ole days of non-corporate radio.

And hopefully if someone has recorded those shows when they aired, they can send me copies because apparently I don't have them.

The music of 1980 has a special place in my memory, as I did a year end countdown at a small station I worked at in Alabama, ahh the good ole days of non-corporate radio. I like 1980 a lot myself. There are certain time frames I love and 1980s in the middle of one of them. 1978 through 1982 even into 1983 I love. If anyone has kind of chronicled what shows I've done in terms of what years other than the 60s being dominantly featured you might find that 78 / 82 gets done a little more often than other years of both decades. I did want to mention that it's a list that repeats twice the only difference is the specials. And one show has an alternate version from before somebody passed away. I figured I would give everyone a treat and let them hear how the show was originally supposed to sound as opposed to the one that I had to delete things in order to fit the Eddie Money tribute.

Version of Shelia by Tommy Roe I just heard was not the original version. Close....but no cigar. I know that Tommy re-recorded his hits like many other artist from the 50's & 60's did because the record company owned the music and not the artist.

What show was it on? It's possible on a very old show that I didn't catch it because I wasn't as vigilant. It was on the 8-29-64 show. Not a big deal, as it was 'close' to the original version. I know I got caught a few times with a re-record version, as well.
