Hey Adam,
As an Ex-DJ why don't you do a countdown show, I would be curious to hear it.
You can use the Radio & Records charts from 1973 til the first Shadoe show in 1988.

Joe Joe, it's an honor to have you on this part of the board! You and Jeff Michaels have the market cornered on countdown shows! If I tried, it would be like Shadoe (as in at some point you realize you can't compete with the best!) I do have an idea for a different kind of show, not related to countdowns, but who knows how long it will take for me to get it going!

Maybe Joe would do 90s cashbox countdowns for ya. They ended in August 96 but its something.
Maybe he could start in 1991 and do an exact 30 years ago sort of show going week by week.

No thanks--being an old Releiving Wind (turned 60 a couple of months ago)--my forte is 1960's - 1980's, which you do a good job of covering. If you could find countdowns from the 1980's that use the R & R charts (Dick Clark, John Leader, etc) that would be interesting to hear. Although if you can't find those I might be willing to do a few old R & R countdowns from the 1980's.

In about a few weeks from now I will be getting some shows for myself like some John Lander's Hit Music USA, American Dance Traxx, Top 30 USA with M.G. Kelly and many more. Is there by any chance I can send them to be aired on one of the stations here? Just wondering.

American Dance Traxx would be good and fit my format perfectly. The big question is how big a library would you have of these shows to air. I was in talks with someone to air Future Hits but could only acquire a few. The return would be worth it in a sizeable library like I have with Shadoe, AT20 and AT40. I am in continuing talks to acquire some very special shows that a lot of you have not heard of and feature some very unique styles.

That's exactly why I was thinking of having a random show every week or even just every now and then, as there's not a lot of these kinds of shows around. I'm only able to obtain five of those Dance Traxx shows at the moment.

Between 1992 and 1993 I recorded 5 more American dance traxx shows on cassete tape (which means when you turn the tape after 45min or so a bit is missing... ). And I have 1 original CD from American dance trax (June 6 1993)
+5/2/1992 (top3 are missing - dance traxx was most time a nightime broadcast and I fall asleep at 2.45am and did not turn the casstte back in 1992 ) 6/7/1992 12/5/1992 3/6/1993 4/24/1993
And I have 2 full recordings of Future hits (3(27/1995 & 3/18/1995 from VOA Europe)

I have these Dance Traxx shows in my collection I can share with the station: Top 30 Dance Hits of 1987 from 12/31/87 1/29/88 4/2/88 Top 30 Dance Hits of 1988 from 12/31/88 7/21/90
Request: Can you please air my copy of John Lander's Hit Music USA 4/22/1989 on The X? There's nothing's better than listening to a radio show on a radio station.

Sunday or Monday would be a good day for this. Watch for a thread coming soon. EDIT: You can now upload stuff to the Depot. Check it out in the Shows thread!

Great idea! Maybe we can also have Spongebob Squarepants intro it! No way! Having Spongebob football on Sunday was bad enough. Although one of the Bears players dropping a f-bomb on Nickelodeon was rather amusing!
