Starting into this week here´s something looking forward for the upcoming weekend: P.S: I made a jingle to promote this week´s ADT show, but it´s too big to upload here - I´ll send it to Adam, then he can broadcast it through the week until friday!
Awesome, thanks! I put it in to run with the other promos and liners you´re welcome, it was a pleasure to me to put together...

It's odd if that's how they placed them on the CD or LP because the promo for Countdown America was for the next weeks show & within a couple minutes you knew there was a new #1 & what it was.

See programming changes for Sunday on first page. By the way, I'm in discussions with a brand new daily show to start (if creator will get back with me lol) and an original show is in development. The X continues to grow! This past week had the most total listeners and the most listeners in a day since we started. Thanks for everyone listening and Jeff Michaels for our partnership, he and I would appreciate facebook likes on our radio page (top right) and some chatter on a post I created on the pulse music board: pulsemusic.proboards.com/thread/203201/new-generation-radio-stationMaybe some testimonials there from you could help Jeff and I grow our listenership! Thank you for your support!

I'd like to give a testimonial but I managed to get myself banned from the pulsemusic board. How did you manage that? Dare I ask? They didn't like me telling the truth that even the worst of the 80's & 90's was better than today's Top 10 garbage. I guess they also hated when I said I've been following music longer than they were sperm in their dad's nutsack so I should know what good music is.

Of course the reason I got banned from the AT40 Fun & Games Page was mentioning WBME airing Shadoe Shows which I guess is worse than any of the Seven Deadly Sins you'd think it would end after over 5 years though.

Meanwhile idiots on AT40FG bring up Star 107.9 again, get warned about it a million times and get away with it. That site is full of idiots, but it's not as bad as the iF@rtRadio Casey AT40 channel's Facebook comments section. IT HAS BEEN 3 YEARS SINCE THEY HAVEN'T ALLOWED NEW USERS THERE! WHAT THE DUCK!

And how! Props for uncovering this...I know that Hervard, in particular, over there has frequently mentioned other shows as ones he used to catch over the years, but these would be scattered mentions that come up from time to time - I.E. it wasn't all information centered in one location like this is. I wasn't sure if there would have been a thread for "other [various] countdowns" or not. But in any case, the 1991 Countdown America show a couple of weeks ago would seem to have been in the latter part of that show's run (note: I haven't yet finished reading at this typing, I just took a break to post this), whereas Monday's National Music Survey is in the later part of the original Dick Clark era, but as far as Dick hosting countdowns goes, it's in the first third or so. (ETA: Yow - would not have guessed he continued doing countdowns all the way up until his stroke. ) I wanted to revisit this chat as it pertains to Listener Depot. Does anyone have a very early Countdown America with John Leader to share, either on Listener Depot or Mixcloud? If his countdown began on 1/8/83 and was based on the R&R chart, there is a great chance to hear a show with Love In Store, I Gotta Try, All Those Lies, Heart to Heart, Allentown and I Can't Stand Still at MUCH higher peaks than Billboard or Cashbox. With that being said, was there a countdown in 1982 on the air that used R&R and had Gypsy at #1 for the week? That would really sound bizarre, considering everyone here thinks of that as a #12 peaker.

I don't think so...judging by the thread posted by Dees Sleaze on the previous page that contains much of (if not all of) the history, it looks like the history of using R&R as a countdown source begins with Countdown America in 1983. Anybody else prior to that either created their own chart (shows like CVD's Weekly Music Magazine) or used Cash Box (National Music Survey prior to March 1983) or were AT40/Billboard.

Here's a couple questions about the new Sunday schedule. !. Will it include the Listener Depot, MERC,AT40 2.0 AT40 SSY, AT20 & American Dance Traxx 2. If the show runs short of the hour will there be a few songs until the next hour or will the next start as son as the pevious one ends.

The only reason Metal Mountain is not included is because it runs right before. 2. There is almost a full day of programming here, around 18-19 hours according to my count, so to keep things moving and make sure it all airs before the end of Sunday, I have set it up where the next show is supposed to start as soon as the previous one ends. That is how it's supposed to work anyway, if I set it up right, and that's a BIG IF

Dance Traxx is My 3rd favorite & may tie for second soon as the jams on it beat the dull AT20 songs (other than the REAL old extras) by a mile.

Any insight as to how Hit Music USA ran? (Format, chart source, duration) I tried searching the AT40 Board but came up empty.
All I know about John Lander is, other than that he hosted a countdown, that he ultimately ended up at Philadelphia's WEGX (Eagle 106) by the time the 90s hit, lasting through February 1993 - and then two weeks later (3/12), that station flipped to Smooth Jazz.

It's not a countdown show he just plays some of the top pop hits, a few quick parodies of old & current songs & has short interviews with some acts it's a four hour show but should be around 3 1/2 hours.

Its focus is on CHR hits, with comedy characters and artist interviews with listener participation. In this show, John Lander acts just like he would on the KKBQ-FM 93Q Morning Zoo. The early shows had this cover: While most of the shows had this cover:

Hey Countdown Fans, I recently did a show with that Fleetwood Mac song at #1 from October 1982 (from the R&R charts), that I can make available to Adam if you guys are interested. As far as I know no national show used R&R until 1983. Let me know-- Joe (Cash Box/Rewind Countdown)

Scheduling did not work well overnight, probably something to do with transition to EDT. It appears Listener Depot and MERC aired but rest did not..
AT40 Pat O'Brien guest show is airing now. AT40 Shadoe starts approx 405pm EDT AT20 Casey starts approx 800pm EDT American Dance Traxx starts Approx 1045pm EDT.
Hopefully things will go smoother for the Marathon next Sunday.
