Was the Rick Dees show supposed to replay after Hot Mix?
Yes, did it not? If not, what did play?

Apparently, Dick Clark had moved on from the National Music Survey sometime in 1985 as the episode you will hear Monday is hosted by Bill St James and even has his name in the jingles. I tried to research what happened and according to Syracuse University, here is a history of Dick Clark's Shows: - Dick Clark's National Music Survey (approximately 230 episodes) was created in 1981 by Dick Clark for the Mutual Broadcasting System. The show counted down the top 30 contemporary hits of the week in direct competition with American Top 40. - Countdown America (approximately 470 episodes) began in 1986 as a four-hour show counting down the Top 30 hits of the day. The show switched to three hours in 1991 and reduced its coverage to the Top 20 hits. Clark began hosting the show in late 1985. The show continued until the weekend of December 31, 1994, when its name was changed to Dick Clark’s U.S. Music Survey (see below). - Dick Clark's U.S. Music Survey (approximately 360 episodes) was the successor to Countdown America. It began airing the weekend of January 7-8, 1995 and continued until December 2004 with Dick Clark as host. Following Clark’s stroke in December of 2004, voiceover talent Jeff Robins filled in briefly, followed by permanent guest host Mark Wallengren of Los Angeles radio station KOST-FM. Wllengren hosted the show until it ceased production in December 2005. Rock, Roll and Remember (approximately 1000 episodes) began in 1982. Gene Weed appears as co-host from show #002 (February 20-21, 1982) to show #048 (Jan 8-9, 1983) and Mark Elliot appears as co-host from show #049 (Jan 15-16, 1983) to show #194 (Oct 26-27, 1985). Dick Clark is the only host as of show #195 (November 2-3, 1985). The last original show with Clark aired the weekend of January 1-2, 2005 (pre-recorded shortly before his stroke). After that date, the show continued in syndication with repeat episodes from the archives. EDIT: Ok I found out Dick moved on to Countdown America (source: hothitzdj.com/history-of-countdown-america-so-far/"1985 featured more upheaval in the countdown world. After 231 weeks, the Dick Clark’s National Music Survey became the National Music Survey. Dick Clark went on to replace John Leader as the host of Countdown America, thus the new name Countdown America with Dick Clark. The last show of Countdown America with John Leader that I have is October 12, 1985, so I don’t know how John handled the ending during the show or the promos used with Dick Clark as the new host. I do know this much…Dick Clark was the host of Countdown America on November 2, 1985 based upon the December 7 show that called it show #6." EDIT 2: More good stuff here: www.mutualradiotributesite.org/mrts_stories_dcnms.htmlEnds with " ED: "The Dick Clark National Music Survey" premiered Memorial Day weekend of 1981. Clark stayed with the show for four years, leaving at the end of October 1985 to take the helm of a similar show, "Countdown America," for his United Stations Radio Network. Ironically, Clark and Mutual had signed a renewal of the show earlier that year. Mutual relaunched "National Music Survey" in November 1985 with Bill St. James and features by The Beach Boys' Mike Love. St. James was later replaced by Charlie Tuna, then by Bill Meyer and Sylvia Emerita.)

If every week they played last weeks entire top 3 with only the Top 20 listeners could skip the 1st 10 minutes & miss nothing. For $1 I bought a mid 1987 record of a Charlie Tuna hosted episode of NMS.

Wasted time when you could probably do the top 25 instead. Never heard the other Jack Wagner song before, it was pretty good.

Editing recordings it seems like the stream is a little lower in volume or is it just me?

The last two "countdowns" were over modulated by default, so I brought them down 3db each. May have only needed two though.

Unless my timing is off the Friday Flashback repeat will be about 2 & a half hours past the Serena repeat time unless this is a shorter HotMix show?
The Dees I have are around 71/2 hours unless these are without ads Hot Mix is usually 4 hours or just less
