Really looking forward to the Artists Profile Weekend.
And the feature on Belly. Huge fan of theirs. Saw them live in 1995. Anxious to see how you fill a whole show on a band with two relatively obscure albums. Can't wait!

I made it and left out a lot of songs. They had some b sides and non album tracks. Plus IIRC I did a set of Tonya Donnely solo cuts.
Hope you enjoy that show as well as the others I produce!

Interstate19 sent me this about the Belly episode of The Jeff Michaels Show:
That was excellent! Made me feel like I was 23 again! Reminders of how much I loved that music, and a lot of stuff I haven't heard. I always preferred King over Star. The songs had an edgier sound, but were better structured at the same time, in my opinion.
Funny that you played Josie and the Sideways Smilecats because in the beginning I wondered if you would. A nice surprise.
The Stone Free album had a number of surprisingly good covers. I bought it for The Cure's (my favorite band) disappointing version of Purple Haze.
(incidentally, they did a more straightforward version available on their compilation called Join The Dots, though I'm sure you've heard it)
As much as I loved Tanya Donelly, my big 90s crush was Juliana Hatfield. She had some fantastic post-Blake Babies stuff. Maybe someday you can do a show on her?
Again, that was a great listen, Jeff. I'll go out of my way to hear more of these.

PS Sideways Smile is what the word pu$$y turns into with our swearbot.
