Hi everyone!
There's been a lot happening with THE GOLD RUSH over the past few months. Usually you can stay "in-touch" with what's coming up by visiting our FACEBOOK page: just type "Tom Daniels Radio Show" on the FACEBOOK search line and we should be just a mouse-click away.
The overall "sound" of the show has changed slightly; a new "theme" set, produced by Audio Brand Central, now introduces each segment. And we've gotten some new dateline and number jingles to throw into the mix as well.
My thanks to MitchM, Interstate19 and others who posted about the "B-Sides" episode that aired May 6-7-8. This is the kind of feedback that stirs my creative "juice bowl." Without it I would think the show literally "died."
As for what's coming up:
May 20-21-22: A salute to Jeff Michaels, on the birth of his son Noel - BABY SONGS take the spotlight.
May 27: Our Memorial Day Salute To America episode. Airs FRIDAY ONLY!!! Also: THE HISTORY OF ROCK AND ROLL Marathon runs all weekend!!
June 3: A little late - but the spotlight is on May Rock & Roll Birthdays!
And.....there absolutely WILL be a part 2 of the "B-Sides" show. There are SOOOOO many real good flip-sides to be heard. Tentatively, this is set for July 8. That is if we don't suffer any more major losses to the music world.
FOLKS - STAY IN TOUCH!! Your feedback is what guides this show forward. Even if you're more of a "listener" than a "talker," we still want to know what you think we're doing right - or wrong. Post often...either here or on the Facebook page. PD Jeff Michaels will repost if needed.
Thanks for listening. Tom Daniels

For "Baby Songs" you need to sneak in 1987 Dance hit "Silent Morning" by Noel, which peaked at #47 on the Hot 100.

For "Baby Songs" you need to sneak in 1987 Dance hit "Silent Morning" by Noel, which peaked at #47 on the Hot 100. That works in 2 ways 1. for the name Noel & 2. because there will be days he will want a "Silent Morning".

Rodney,
Thank you for that feedback. Here I was, thinking that going all the way back to 1961 for a top ten album review was going back TOO far.
Singles countdowns are everywhere these days, and I'm not going to compete with classic Casey Kasem.
My idea of a 3-decade top ten album review - which had never been done on radio before - will progress gradually thru all 30 years, with different weeks, each ten years apart. Our next stop is the first week of October 1962, 1972 and 1982. That show is slated for October 7.
Thanks for listening!!
