1st, in getting my files straightened out, it seems that we'll have about a year before American Country Countdown rolls back to 1973. Late summer 1996 is as far as we'll go as that's the latest we have.
2nd, The Jeff Michaels Show will be going on hiatus after November. A new show will debut in the JMS slot in January. It will have to do with the charts in some aspect... more news on that to come.
3rd, recent ratings. The Top 5 most listened to shows are:
5- Robert W Morgan Special Of The Week 4- American Country Countdown 3- Cashbox Countdown 2- The Gold Rush 1- Shadoe AT40 Wednesday
Hopefully everyone gives some of our original shows a chance. I expect great things from the return of my Music Expert Retro Countdown, and some of the new shows headed our way.
Also seems that our Random Wednesday mix, with lots of new additions to the playlist, has been getting the most attention of our music mixes.
4th, We hope our newer commercials are satisfactory to all!

Well now, hearing that THE GOLD RUSH is the SECOND most listened to ORIGINAL program on WBME makes me proud to be its creator and host.
Many thanks to all who have been listening!
"We'd like to know a little bit about you for our files," says a Simon & Garfunkel song lyric.
And so, I'm asking you - please chime in here or on my Facebook page and let me know who you are, where you're listening, and what you think of THE GOLD RUSH radio show.
Thanks for listening!!

I am looking forward to the return of the MERC on WBME-but let me tell you that I am grateful to everyone listening to the Cash Box Countdown. It makes all the hard work that goes into each show worth it to know that you all are listening and enjoying the show.
By the way, 'Congrats' to Tom and the Gold Rush, as well.
Thanks for listening,
Joe Cantello

Actually, Tom, you're the top dog, as AT40 Shadoe is hardly original Congrats to you, Joe, and all the originals that make this station special.

Thanks for listening!! Must admit that I'm surprised Casey's regular AT40 shows aren't in the top 5, but I'm happy to see that my favorite 3 are... ACC, CBC (Cashbox Countdowns) and The Gold Rush. Thanks for posting on here Tom, I'm one of only 37 people in the world that ISN"T on Facebook lol, so I like when you put info on these boards about your show. I'll probably get on Facebook one of these days, but just retired 8 months ago and up to then, it could be a problem with my job, so I just never got into it. As to where I'm listening from, I live in Cocoa, Fl... about 10 or so miles from Cocoa Beach. As far as each show I like... ACC- always been a fan of country music (I only like select songs/artists from the 90's and early 2000's).. I prefer music from the 50's to 80's though. Looking forward to when the ACC's goes to 70's and 80's. CBC- Is just a well put together show and I like any countdowns from the 60's (love the MERC shows too), plus in the 70's and 80's shows it's neat to see the differences from the Billboard charts. Gold Rush- Another professionally done show with an INCREDIBLE amount of variety (much like WBME) and I love the concept of every 10 years, like other people I'm sure, I look at my life sometimes and say well in 66 I was doing this, 76 this, 86 this, etc. So it's just a neat concept. The Album countdowns is just an added twist to it that I like as well... I was born in 64 and started listening to AT40's around 74 and have great memories of those shows and the music back then. In the past year or so of getting into collecting them, I've learned how much I like almost any kind of countdown shows and love the variety of them that are on WBME. Okay, I'll stop rambling, Thanks again, Jeff, Joe and Tom. You're all awesome!!!

Rodney, I like that CBC handle--maybe I'll start using it like Casey used AT40. You and a few others have indicated that you would prefer 1960's countdowns over one's from the '70's or 80's; so you'll be happy to know I am leaning toward doing a countdown from the '60's every other week (mostly 64-69). In addition, I am going to make the 'bonus' songs mostly the Top 10's from 1955-63 so those songs don't get ignored. I am in the planning stages for the first six months of next year for the show. By the way, I'm not on facebook, either. In closing, let me say 'thank you' to you and everyone listening as it makes the work that goes into these shows worth it. Joe Cantello
