Greetings, Even with the AT20 special cutting off at #13, somehow we are still on schedule for the most part. At 4:08 pm yesterday the Christmas in America 2006 show started. So I'll be using that as my reference point for the next couple of days schedule. Before I post the schedule, I caught the last 20 or so minutes of the Country Hall of Fame Christmas show yesterday and it sounded awesome. Turns out that it's a Jeff Michaels production. I didn't know that, I'll be sure to try to catch it in it's entirety next time around. Here's my shot at the schedule...
Sat. 1:08 pm- American Top 40: 12-25-71 (1971 Christmas Special) 2:20 3:28 pm- Christmas In America 2007 5:00 8:28 pm-X-Mas Mix 16:00
Sun. 12:28 pm- Dr Demento: 12-9-07 (Trim A Tree With Dr. D) 1:40 2:08 pm- Christmas In America 2008 5:00 7:08 pm- X-Mas Mix 16:00
Mon. 11:08 am- Rascal Flatts Christmas Special 50 Minutes 11:58 am- Brad Paisley Christmas 50 Minutes 12:48 pm-AT10 Xmas At The Movies 2:55 3:43 pm- Christmas In The Country 1:40 5:23 pm- Christmas In America 2010 5:05 10:28 pm- X-Mas Mix 16:00
Tues. 2:28 pm- A Jeff Michaels Christmas 4:00 6:28 pm- Christmas In America 2011 5:00 11:28 pm- X-Mas Mix 16:00
Wed. 3:28 pm- American Top 40: AT10 Xmas Special 2:35 6:03 pm- Christmas In America 2012 5:00 11:03 pm- X-Mas Mix 16:00
Thur. 3:03 pm- American Top 40: 12-22-73 (1973 Christmas Special) 2:30 5:33 pm- Christmas In America 2013 5:00 10:33 pm- AT40 Top 60 Xmas Songs 4:40
Fri. 3:13 am- X-Mas Mix 16:00
Approx. 7:03 pm would be the end of the first run of the Christmas schedule, but of course a lot could happen between now and then. I'm enjoying the shows/music. Thanks Jeff.

The AT20 show didn't mess up the schedule because when it cut off it was at an hour & a half the whole show would have added around an hour to it.

That makes perfect sense... I was thinking it was only a top 20 show. I figured a top 40 is around 3 hours so I figured a Top 20 would be 1.5 hours. Either way, glad we're still moving right along. Thanks for explaining. I hope to catch the show next time around, even it it stops at #13.

It was Top 30 but about every couple songs they played an extra. I recorded it but missed the first minutes. For the weekend shows it was last weeks show for stations that changed to all Christmas music but maybe I can catch a station playing it to record the rest.

American Top 20 Christmas Special it was just odd as it went from right in the middle of #13 to the Christmas In the Country show. I always wondered why AT20 couldn't be 2 hours & AT10 1 hour especially with the then older Casey having to do the extra work because of it (maybe he wanted to announce the good older songs again as compared to the 2000's songs).

Agreed, their should be a rule for the all-Christmas stations that they must play at least one Bob Rivers song an hour.

I don't have that complete show. Considering just deleting it from the rest of the go rounds.

I don't have that complete show. Considering just deleting it from the rest of the go rounds. I'm guessing you mean the AT20 show. Sadly I discovered our local AT40 80's station that changed to all Christmas playing it a week behind schedule Sunday night but I found it at #7 or I would have recorded the rest of it. Maybe some stations will play a marathon of the Christmas shows Christmas weekend & I can record the rest of it then.

Does anyone know the info on the date of the American Top 40: AT10 Xmas Special. I was wanting to see a playlist of the songs. Thanks. I think it was run for Christmas 2004. I think it is also sometimes called "Christmas Around the World". I've got a playlist of 38 songs if you can't find it anywhere else. The first song is "it's the Most Wonderful time of the Year" by Andy Williams, and the 38th song is "O Tannenbaum" by the Vince Guaraldi Trio.

Did some research, this show is from November 2005 I believe. It's called Christmas at the Movies... I think. Can't find a playlist anywhere. It is not any of the three AT10 Christmas specials that are listed on Walt Bailey's site. I've listened to the first 20 or so minutes, there's no "countdown", just Casey announcing the songs and tying in (sometimes) with a TV show or movie. Good show so far though.

I looked at Walt Bailey's site too & checked out the edited AT10 show from 2007 that the guy that puts shows on YouTube posted & I think from 2003 on they just did at least 1 (sometimes more) shows where they just played various Christmas songs with Casey telling stories about every 3 songs. Some of the stories repeated on multiple shows.

I found another AT10 Christmas Special that I believe was first run for Christmas 2005. It has 41 songs and the first song was "Rockin Around the Christmas Tree" by Brenda Lee and the 41st song was "Silent Night" by Stevie Nicks.

I haven't listened to the whole show yet, but the first song is an instrumental and the next song is by James Taylor ("Deck the Halls" I believe). The 3rd or 4th song is by Clay Aiken and I believe the last song of the show (I caught it last night) was by Point of Grace. Either way, if I can't get the exact info, it's neat to have the show and it seems like a good show. Hope to listen to it in it's entirety in the next few weeks. (Probably in my car, so I won't be able to gather all the specifics of the show as I'm listening). Thanks

The Christmas mixes are easily the best anywhere. Thanks.

The plan is for mainly just Christmas mixes on Christmas Day, making way for the new schedule of events WHICH is coming in the next couple of days. Working on organizing it now. (Its done, I mean the list.)

Schedule has changed slightly. Just omit all music mixes for the most part. A couple 2 hour ones remain. Then on Christmas day, all Christmas mixes and then the new schedule, of which the text is coming soon!
