Uh oh... Repeating Royal Treatment instead of playing Shadoe Stevens. Unless time shifted overnight or something. Or maybe an hour behind schedule?

Thanks for playing "Shot of Poison" by Lita Ford on today's show, which peaked at #45, as you said. I didn't expect such fast turnaround. I'm sure Lita's song received a lot of airplay in 11/1991.

Interstate. I am not sure how we got behind but it was the second episode of Royal Treatment that started at 8:30.
It'll be back on track in a bit.

You're welcome, it did in fact receive a lot of airplay at the 50KW CHR I worked at in 1991, especially during my 7-MID airshift I remember the PD dayparting it. lol. Glad you enjoyed it, one of my favorites not to reach the Top 40. I will do more extras like that as time goes on, although not in every show.

Show started quite early again. I missed the first four songs this morning and then again tonight because I was watching the happenings in San Bernardino, which is less than 30 miles from me.

By elimination this weeks show will be from 90, 93 or 94. I'm going with 12/10/94 because I think we will get Shadoe's last show from 1/28/95 & this will put 7 weeks between shows with some of the same songs.

Maybe cram in two 1995 shows, just because of scarcity?

This Wednesday's episode of Classic American Top 40 with Shadoe Stevens is from 12/11/93.
Appreciate the guesses and the shows are selected at least a month in advance.
I'll let Jeff explain the possibility of the 1995 shows if he chooses.

I will explain. What I have in my collection, that will air on a Friday, is for Adam to try to avoid airing on a Wednesday if at all possible. I have the 1-28-95 show so he will pick a different one from January. It will air soon on a Friday, we don't have nearly as much to offer from 93 and 94.

Also, Don't forget that there is no show the week following Christmas on Wednesday, HOWEVER, we will have the year end shows marathon on Tuesday that week. 1988, 1990, 1992 & 1994. One airing each and they will go in order.

I will go ahead and say 1995 fans will get their fill over the next month and a half.
Might as well announce most of the extras for this week's show from 12/11/93:
Hour 1: "Life" - Haddaway Hour 2: SURPRISE EXTRA THAT DIDN'T HIT AT40 Hour 3: "Will You Be There In The Morning" - Heart Hour 4: "Amazing" - Aerosmith

That 1-28-95 show don't matter much to me as I have an MP3 of it to listen to whenever. But I'm ready for that all day year-end marathon & hoping I don't have to work (& will be p*ssed if I have to).

The surprise extra is tough since after they stopped using the Hot 100 lots of songs made the Top 40 on the Hot 100 but didn't make AT40 but a good choice that peaked on the Hot 100 at #13 that week was 2Pac's Keep Ya Head Up but I'm going with Gloria Estefan's Silver Bells using the Sneak Peek from the 12/25/93 show.

Adam, Jeff, and anyone else responsible--wanted to say thanks a ton for airing the Shadoe shows. What a fun thing to look forward to every week--and nice that they are on Wednesdays, so while we're waiting for the weekend and the next Premiere AT40 shows, we get to listen in on a good late 80's or 90's show. Have to admit, that while I still like Casey better, Shadoe is a lot of fun to listen to (even after ABC began to really mess with his delivery). Thanks!

Hello. I'm going to listen to 8-23-92. I was not listening to the radio very much in early 90s...so there should be a lot of songs I have not heard very often, if at all. I figured Maria Carey was in it 'cause she was so popular at the time.

I was sure you'd go with an odd year considering the marathon features all even years.
