Also, it’s weird to hear a Celine Dion song that ISN’T a love song/ballad. #12 - Never heard of it as I only know of “Mr. Loverman” #11 - One of my all-time favorite 90s dance tracks although I’m more used to the version with the Turbo B vocal than the version without it as heard on this show #10 - Not familiar with this song as I with their 1990 hits, such as “Poison” #9 - Good but not my favorite 90s Madonna track #8 - One of my favorite 90s hip hop songs #7 - One of my favorite dancehall/regga-hip hop tunes from the 90s. #6 - One of my favorite 90s hip hop songs even though it does get overplayed #5 - I’m more used to their 80s freestyle hits and their 1993 ballad hit “I’ll Never Get You Over Me” but I do like this song. #4 - One of my favorite TLC songs and my favorite track from their 1992 debut album #3 - I liked this novelty techno track that sampled the Sesame Street theme #2 - My favorite Mary J. Blige song #1 - Another one of my favorite 90s hip hop songs. Used to hear this one a lot on B96 back in the day. Most Requested #5 - I like it but it’s not my all-time favorite from them Most Requested #4 - Used to hate this song when I was younger but I do like it nowadays Most Requested #3 - One of Boyz II Men’s greatest songs Most Requested #2 - Whitney’s signature ballad Most Requested #1 - One of my all-time favorite R&B love songs. Used to hear this song a lot on B96 back then. I also noticed that ADT also played the acapella version, which was always the version I remember hearing back then. Most Requested #3 - Never heard of it as I’m more used to her uptempo tracks (i.e. “Looking For a New Love”, “Don’t You Want Me”, etc.) Most Requested #2 – Never heard of it and only familiar with some of their other tracks (“you got it (the Right stuff)”, “Step By Step”, etc.) This track reminds me of latin freestyle Most Requested #1 - Another NKOTB song. Yawn. New Trax – Another good song from Janet though it’s not my all time favorite from the “Rhythm Nation” album Extra (Flashback) - Taylor Dayne’s best song and one of the best dance-pop songs of the 80s

There’s a remix that recrates Lil Louis’ “French Kiss” that I like even better. #18 - Never heard of it and only know of her 1989 freestyle dance hit “I Want You” #17 - One of my favorite early 90s house records #16 - Never heard of it. The only track that I’m familiar with is her 1987 freestyle/dance hit “Why You Wanna Go”. #15 - I like this one a lot. #14 - I’m more used to his 1991 ballad hit “One More Try” but I do like this one. #13 - Never heard of it #12 - My favorite track from the B-52s #11 - I like it but it’s not my all-time favorite from this group #10 - I like this one #9 - One of my favorite early 90s pop hits though I’m not used to the remix that features a r-a-p that ADT played. #8 - I like this though it’s not my all-time favorite 80s synthpop tune. #7 - I like it but my favorite from Biz Markie is his 1988 hip hop hit “The Vapors” #6 - Not too familiar with this song #5 - One of my favorite early 90s pop songs #4 - Never heard of it but I kinda like it #3 - My 2nd favorite Technotronic song after “Pump Up the Jam” #2 - Although I prefer the original 1981 Teena Gardner version, I do like this cover version. Most Requested #2 - Not used to their ballads as I am with their uptempo freestyle tracks. Most Requested #1 - Never heard of it until recently but I don't like it. New Trax - One of my favorites from the “Rhythm Nation” album Club Trax - This is a guilty pleasure as are most of MC Hammer's songs
On a side note, I noticed during the 1990-1993 shows either Jeff Wyatt or Julie Brown would address the ADT as “The Countdown Show of the 1990s”, which is funny considering that the show didn’t last beyond 1993.

Used to hear this one a lot on B96 back then although it seems ADT played a different version than the one I’m used to. #12 - One of my favorites from the “Dangerous” album though ADT is playing the Steve Hurley house remix (which I also like) rather than the album version. #11 - One of my all-time favorite 90s dance tracks. #10 - This one’s alright but prefer other Mary J Blige songs (i.e. “Real Love”) #9 - One of my favorite 90s house/dance records. Used to hear this one and “Nunu” on B96 all the time back then. #8 - One of my favorites from TLC #7 - One of my favorite techno/rave tracks from that era. Listening to this one last night, it felt a lot like something of a sneak preview of sorts for the next Shadoe 1992 (Arrested Development, Mary J. Blige, Jade, Rozalla in particular).
But on that note, it turns out that it's just a straight r@p-less edit of "Humpin' Around" that played both last night and it's what AT40 will usually play (from the shows I've heard) - I thought it was just a version with AT40 always looping the second verse, as opposed to that's actually how it was.
"Jump" would later be included on Jock Jams, Volume 3 - but if you just gave me a title and artist for the song, I'm not sure I'd have recognized it. Play the song, though, and that immediately rings a bell (as it did last night).
And, fun fact about "Twilight Zone": Besides completing a 20-week run on the Hot 100 in 1992 (it reached #49), it also spent 19 weeks on the Top 40 Radio Monitor, reaching #47 there. Shortly after, "Get Ready For This" would have its original release here as the follow-up to "Zone", but only hit #76 - I'm not sure what led to its re-release at the end of 1994.

Used to hear this and some of his other freestyle hits on B96 back in the day. #20 - This one’s alright but I prefer other Paula Abdul songs #19 - I like it thought I prefer their bigger dance hits “Big Fun” and “Good Life” #18 - One of my favorite 80s freestyle songs and one of this group’s best songs. #17 - Never heard of it as I only know of her solo 70s/early 80s hits and her hits with the Supremes in the 60s. #16 - Decent but I prefer the megahit “She Drives Me Crazy” #15 - I like it but my favorite from him is “My Prerogative”. #14 - The only song of his that I’m familiar with though I’m not that crazy over it #13 - I like it though it’s not my favorite from Paula Abdul. #12 - I like it #11 - One of my favorite 80s freestyle songs #10 - I kinda like but my favorites from her are “The Way You Love Me” and “Romantic” #9 - Good but not my favorite from New Order and they had many great songs (i.e. “Blue Monday”, “Bizarre Love Triangle”, “True Faith”, etc.) #8 - Great song. I like it as much as “Back to Life”. #7 - One of my favorite 80s Madonna songs though I’m more used to the album version than the remix version that ADT played. #6 - One of my favorite late 80s pop-hip-hop-dance tunes #5 - Meh. I prefer the original David Essex original from the 70s. #4 - Terrible just like the other Milli Vanilli songs. Also this song sounds too much like “Girl You Know It’s True”. #3 - One of my favorite Expose songs and the best from their 1989/1990 period #2 – One of the best 80s hip hop songs and De La Soul’s best song. #1 – My favorite post-1980 Donna Summer song and one of the best Stock, Aitken & Waterman productions. Most Requested #5 - Hated this one! Too over the top Most Requested #4 - This one’s alright but I prefer other 80s Madonna songs. Most Requested #3 - Can’t stand this one. Too depressing. Most Requested #2 - Don’t care for this one and the Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes/Teddy Pendergrass original is better. My favorite ballad from Simply Red is “Holding Back the Years” Most Requested #1 – Another NKOTB song. Yawn. Request (Flashback) - Never heard of it New Trax - This one’s alright but I prefer some of her other freestyle hits (i.e. “Boy I’ve Been Told”, “Don’t Break My Heart”, etc.)

My personal thoughts: #25 - One of my favorite songs from Cathy Dennis #24 - One of my favorites from the “Rhythm Nation” album though in this ADT show, they are playing a new jack swing-like remix version rather than the album version (which is the one I’m more familiar). #23 - One of the best new age tunes and this act’s best song. #22 - I remember this song back then but wasn’t crazy over it #21 - I like this song but prefer their bigger club hit “Dirty Cash (Money Talks)”. #20 - Lame. No wonder he’s seen as a one-hit wonder (though “Ice Ice Baby” is a guilty pleasure). #19 - Never heard of it as I only know of his 1990 hit “Sensitivity” as well as his work as a member of New Edition. It’s decent though. #18 - One of my favorite house/dance songs of the early 90s. Used to hear this song on B96 back then. #17 - One of the best freestyle 90s dance songs ever. Most Requested #5 - Not familiar with this song as I am with some of Gloria’s other songs either solo or with Miami Sound Machine. Most Requested #4 - Not familiar with this as I am with “Because I love You” or most of his freestyle dance hits. Don’t really like it though. Most Requested #3 - never heard of it as I’m only familiar with other Pebbles or Babyface songs Most Requested #2 - Not familiar with this as I with some of their other hits but it’s not as bad as some of their songs that I hate. Most Requested #1 - Used to hear this song on B96 back then. I wasn’t into ballads back when I was a child but I kinda liked this song. On this ADT show, they played a different version. New Trax - I like it but my favorites from 2 in a Room are “Wiggle It” and “El Trago (The Drink)”. Club Trax - I liked this track a lot. Not sure exactly when I first heard it but I do recognize many of the samples.
On a side note, there was a temporary host (Deborah Rath) after Jeff Wyatt left ADT in late 1991 and Julie Brown took over as host in 1992 according to Wiki. I wonder if anyone has a show from the brief Deborah Rath era.

Only familiar with Diana’s bigger hits (either solo or with the Supremes) #10 – Donna Summer’s best post-1980 song and one of the best Stock Aikman Waterman productions of the 80s. #9 – Good but I prefer their bigger hit “She Drives Me Crazy”. #8 – His best song as it the only one I’m really familiar with #7 – Good but I prefer some of her other hits (i.e. “The Way You Love Me”, “Romantic”, etc.) #6 – De La Soul’s best song and one of the best in 1980s hip hop #5 - Good song and I prefer the 1989 remix over the 1984 original although they don’t sound that different. #4 – Great song though I slightly prefer “Back to Life” #3 – One of my favorite Madonna songs though I’m more used to the album version #2 – One of my favorite Expose songs and their best from their 1989-1990 period. #1 – Awful! Just like the other Milli Vanili songs. Plus, it sounds too much like “Girl You Know Its True”. Most Requested #5 – Hate this annoying, dressing song Most Requested #4 – Another NKTOB ballad. Yarn. Most Requested #3 – Hate this song! It always got stuck in my head! Most Requested #2 – Never heard of it and more familiar with her upbeat songs Most Requested #1 – Decent but I prefer the original Harold Melvin/Teddy Pendergrass version. Also, my favorite from Simply Red is “Holding Back the Years”. New Trax – More familiar with the Carl Carlton original and the latter cover version from Gloria Estefan
On this show, ADT played some clips of older Prince hits (i.e. “When Doves Cry”, “Kiss”, and “Sign of the Times”).

My Personal Thoughts: #25 - I like it. One of her best. #24 - One of the best 90s dance songs ever (yes I know its actually 1989 but still it helped define the early 90s dance sound) #23 - Never heard of it as I’m only familiar with some of their bigger this like “The Look” & “It Must Have Been Love” #22 - Good song but it’s not my favorite from that album (lot of goodies from that album) #21 - I like this one #20 - Very unique 50s-style medley. I like it. #19 - One of my favorite freestyle songs. Used to hear this one a lot on B96 back in the day. #18 - Not too familiar with this one. #17 - I like it but prefer “Good Life” and “Big Fun” #16 - Decent but I prefer “Yo No Se” #15 - I like this one a lot. Just as good as “Pump Up the Jam” #14 - I like it but prefer “Dancing on the Fire” when it came to her freestyle songs. #13 - Never heard of it. I’m only familiar with “Pull Up to the Bumper” and Slave to the Rhythm” when it comes to Grace Jones #12 - One of my favorite Janet Jackson songs #11 - Never heard of it. I also prefer the Brothers Johnson original. #10 - Decent but I prefer “Don’t Make Me Over” #9 - I like this one a lot. One of my favorite late 80s/early 90s dance songs #8 - Never heard of it as I’m only familiar with “It’s No Crime” from this era. Decent though. #7 - Horrible just like all the other Milli Vanilli songs. I can’t tell this song apart from two other songs of their that overuse the “Ashley’s Roachchip” loop. #6 - One of my favorite 90s dance songs that feature Cathy Dennis. Used to hear this one on B96 when I was younger. #5 - Never heard of it and are more familiar with some of their other hits (i.e. “What You Don’t Know”, “Point of No Return”, etc.) #4 - Good song though not my favorite from her. However, the music video with her and the cartoon cat was the best music video she did. #3 - I like this one. One of the best hip house records from that era. #2 -This was her best song #1 – This was Seduction’s best song though I’m more used to the LP version than the remix version that sounds very similar that ADT plays on this show. Most Requested #5 - Never heard of it as I’m only familiar with “I Like It” Most Requested #4 - Decent but I prefer several of her upbeat songs (i.e. “Get on Your Feet”) Most Requested #3 - Hated this song when I younger due to overplay on A/C radio! Plus, I prefer several other Taylor Dayne songs over this one (i.e. "Tell it To My Heart") Most Requested #2 - Never heard of it. I’m more used to their uptempo freestyle hits (i.e. “Show Me”, “Because of You”, etc.) Most Requested #1 – Not familiar with this one as I am with her uptempo hits (i.e. “Looking for a Real Love”, “Real Love”, “Don’t You Want Me”, etc.) New Trax - Never Heard of It as I only know of “Why You Wanna Go” from 1987 Extra (Flashback) - Expose’s best song

Eric B & Rakim - Friends #4 - Rod Stewart - Crazy About Her (Remix) #3 - Paula Abdul - Cold Hearted #2 - Bobby Brown - On Our Own Most Requested #1 - Surface - Shower Me With Your Love #1 – Sweet Sensation – Hooked On You
My personal thoughts: #25 - Decent but I prefer the megahit “She Drives Me Crazy” #24 - My favorite Babyface song #23 - One of my favorite Madonna songs. On this show, the album version is played while on other ADT shows I’ve heard so far, the remix version is played. #22 - Dreadful but at least it’s better than “Party All the Time” (one of the worst 80s pop songs ever). Eddie should had only stuck to comedy and acting. #21 - Never heard of it as I only knew of their 70s disco hits #20 - Not crazy over this one. I prefer many other Prince songs over this one. #19 - Decent cover but I prefer Gloria Estefan’s cover version from 1994 and the original from Carl Carlton from the 70s. #18 - My favorite Soul II Soul song although on this show, ADT is playing a remix version #17 - Good song though not my all-time favorite from him. #16 - Good but my favorite from him is his 1992 R&B hit “Games” #15 - I like it but prefer the song she’s best known for “Buffalo Stance” #14 - never heard of it. Only familiar with some of his other hits (either solo or with the Power Station). ADT played the Westerville remix version instead of the main single version. #13 - Never heard of it as I’m only familiar with “What’s on Your Mind”, “Walking Away”, and “Think”. #12 - I like it though it’s not my favorite from her (i.e. “The Way You Love Me”, “Romantic, etc.”) #11 - Never heard of it as I’m only familiar with some of their other this (i.e. “The Look”, “It Must Had Been Love”, etc.) #10 - never heard of it as I only knew of “You Spin Me (Like a Record)” and “Brand New Lover”. #9 - One of my favorite Stevie B songs #8 - I like I but my favorite from them is “Two to Make it Right” #7 - His best song as it’s the only one I’m very familiar with #6 - Don’t like it as is the case with most NKOTB songs #5 - I like it but prefer other Jody Watley songs over it. #4 - Never heard of it until recently as I’m familiar with some of Rod’s other hits but I like it though ADT is playing a New Jack Swing-like remix version. #3 - Decent but I prefer other Paula songs (i.e. “Straight Up”, “Knocked Out”, etc.) #2 - Decent but I prefer other Bobby Brown songs (i.e. “My Propagative”) #1 – One of my favorites from this freestyle group Most Requested #5 - Decent but I prefer the Harold Melvin/Teddy Pendergrass original Most Requested #4 - Lame just like the other Milli Vanilli songs. At least it doesn’t overuse that “Ashley’s Roachclip” loop. Most Requested #3 - Hate it. So depressing Most Requested #2 - Probably her best ballad track though I prefer several of her upbeat songs (either solo or with Miami Sound Machine) Most Requested #1 - Wasn’t too crazy over ballads but I do like this one. However my favorite from this act is their 1987 hit “Happy”. New Trax - The album/single version is a freestyle tune while the remix heard in ADT is a house version. Anyway, I like it but prefer other songs from them (i.e. “Show Me”, “Funk Boutique”, etc.) Extra (Flashback) - One of my favorite Bee Gees songs

My Personal Thoughts: #25 - Good song and also the best one Maxi Priest did #24 - Good freestyle tune. One of my favorites from that gerne. #23 - Don’t like it that much. Got stuck in my head once #22 - Guilty pleasure. Used to hear this on B96 back in the day #21 - One of my favorite 90s dance songs #20 - Decent but I prefer other New Order songs over it. #19 - The remix version that ADT played is better than the album version #18 - One of the greatest 90s dance records and perhaps the best one Black Box did #17 - My 2nd favorite En Vogue song (after “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It)” #16 - Good, mellow West Coast style #15 - I like it but prefer both “Where Are You Tonight” and “My Fallen Angel” over it. #14 - So corny! hip hop ballads rarely worked than this is no exception. Plus the 70s Chi-Lites original is FAR better. #13 - Never heard of it #12 - Not familiar with this one as I am with “All Around The World”, which this song sounds very familiar to. #11 - Good tune from the New Jack Swing era of R&B #10 - Never heard of it as I only know of other Erasure songs (i.e. “A Little Respect”, “Take A Chance On Me”, etc.) #9 - I like this one and one of my favorites from her. #8 - One of the best 90s dance records although it does get overplayed #7 - I prefer most of his freestyle songs over this one. #6 - Good but my favorite from him is “Welcome To My Groove” #5 - Good but not my all-time favorite from him #4 - One of his best songs and one of the best freestyle songs ever. #3 - I like it but my favorite from the Time is their 1984 hit “Jungle Love” #2 - Decent but I’m more used to their two bigger hits “Back to Life” and “Keep it Movin’” #1 - Johnny Gill’s best song and one of the best the New Jack Swing era Most Requested #5 - Never heard of it Most Requested #4 - I’m more used to their uptempo freestyle hits than their ballads Most Requested #3 - I like this one. The free speech issue is still relevant today. Most Requested #2 - Too gimmicky-sounding and I prefer other Madonna songs. Most Requested #1 - Meh. Another NKOTB song New Trax - Never heard of it as I’m only familiar with their only hit “Sending All My Love” Extra (Flashback) - My favorite Teena Marie song

Cathy Dennis – C’mon and Get My Love Extra #7 - Prince - Batdance #1 – Paula Abdul – Opposites Attract
My personal thoughts: #25 – I like this one #24 – Good cover of the 1981 Taana Gardner song but my favorite from them is “Two to Make it Right” #23 – This is okay but I prefer other Expose songs over this one (i.e. “Point of No Return”, “Let Me Be the One”, etc.) #22 – I like this one #21 – This is okay but I prefer “Don’t Make Me Over” #20 - Never heard of this cover of “Tainted Love” as I’m only familiar with the 1981 Soft Cell cover of the 60s UK soul song. #19 – this was the better of the two songs she did in 1989/1990 #18 – One of my favorites from her #17 – Never heard of it as I only know of her 1987 song “Why You Wanna Go” #16 - Lisa’s signature songs and one of her best. #15 – Didn’t like this one originally due to the off-key singing (though I didn’t knew it was intentional). I do like this song nowadays but my favorite from him is his 1988 song “The Vapors”. #14 – I like this one #13 – My favorite B-52s song #12 – Never knew of it until recently but I do like it. #11 – Wasn’t too crazy over this one initially but it is slowly growing on me as I listen to these ADT shows #10 - the best song Seduction ever did though ADT is playing a remix version that sounds similar to the album version (that one I’m more familiar with) #9 - I’m more used to “Big Fun” and “Good Life” but I do like this Inner City song alot #8 – Good but there are other songs I prefer from her like "Vogue". #7 – One of my favorites from Technotronic #6 – Never heard of it until recently as I’m more familiar with other Roxette songs (i.e. “The Look”) but I do like this remix #5 – I like this one. One of the best of the hip house songs of the late 80s/early 90s #4 - One of my all-time favorite Janet Jackson songs. #3 – Horrible! Sounds too much like “Girl You Know It’s True” (which is also bad) #2 – One of my all-time favorite early 90s dance songs #1 – Good song and even more memorable music video. Extra #1 – Good by my favorite from him is “My Prerogative” Extra #2 – Don’t like it, as is the case with most NKOTB songs. Extra #3 – One of the best pop songs of 1989 Extra #4 – Her best song and one of the best pop songs of 1989 Extra #5 – This was Tone Loc’s best song though I also liked “Wild Thing”. Extra #6 – I like this one. Just as good as their other big hit “Back to Life” Extra #7 – I prefer other Prince songs over this one (though the movie was good)
For this show, Jeff Wyatt does a preview of that year’s Grammy Awards instead of the most requested songs (which were typically love songs). At least no sleepy NTKOB ballads for this week. The show did predict Milli Vanilli would win for the best new artists (only to be later taken away after they got caught lip-syncing later in the year). Maybe one of the runners-up like Neenah Cherry should had been rewarded that award instead after that controversy happened.

My personal thoughts: #25 – De La Soul’s best song and one of the best in 1980s hip hop #24 – Never heard of it and not that familiar with Diana Ross’ post-1980 songs. Only familiar with Diana’s bigger hits (either solo or with the Supremes) #23 – Blech! Don’t like this as is the case with most NKOTB songs #22 – Awful! Just like the other Milli Vanilli songs. Plus, it sounds too much like “Girl You Know Its True”. (itself being horrible) #21 – Never heard of it. I only know of their 1987 hit “Living in a Box”. #20 – More used to several of her bigger hits (i.e. “Head To Toe”, “Can You Feel The Beat”, etc.) but I do like this one too. #19 – Never heard of it as I only know of some of his other hits (either solo or with the Power Station), such as “Addicted to Love” #18 - Never heard of it as I’m only familiar with “What’s on Your Mind”, “Walking Away”, and “Think”. #17 – Good song and I prefer the 1989 remix over the 1984 original although they don’t sound that different. #16 – One of my favorite Expose songs and their best from their 1989-1990 period. #15 – Never knew of this one as I’m only familiar with “You Spin Me Round” and “Brand New Lover”. #14 - Never heard of it until recently as I’m familiar with some of Rod’s other hits but I like it though ADT is playing a New Jack swing-like remix version. #13 – I like this one but my favorite from Seduction was “Two to Make It Right” #12 - One of my favorite Madonna songs. On this show, ADT is playing the album version while one some other shows I’ve heard so far played the remix version. #11 - Good but I prefer other Bobby Brown songs (i.e. “My Propagative”) #10 - – I like this one but I prefer other Jody Watley songs (i.e. “Real Love”, “Looking for a Real Love”, etc.) #9 - Good but not among my all-time favorite songs from LL Cool J #8 - One of my favorite freestyle songs and one of Stevie B’s best songs. #7 - This one’s okay, but I do prefer other Paula Abdul songs (i.e. “Straight Up”, “Knocked Out”, etc.) #6 - Good but I prefer their bigger hit “She Drives Me Crazy”. #5 - Meh. Prince has made many better songs than this one. The movie’s good though. #4 - One of my favorites from this freestyle girl group #3 - His best song as it the only one I’m really familiar with #2 – Good but I prefer some of her other hits (i.e. “The Way You Love Me”, “Romantic”, etc.) #1 – One of my favorite pop/R&B hits of 1989 alongside their other big hit “Back To Life” Most Requested #5 – Decent but I prefer the original Harold Melvin/Teddy Pendergrass version. Also, my favorite from Simply Red is “Holding Back the Years”. Most Requested #4 - My favorite from them is “Happy” but this was a good ballad track Most Requested #3 – the best Gloria Estefan/Miami Sound Machine ballad tune Most Requested #2 – Hate this song! So depressing. Most Requested #1 - Never heard of it and more familiar with her upbeat songs rather than her ballads New Trax – Never heard of it until recently as I only knew of “Buffalo Stance” but I do like this one. Extra – Unlike most Run DMC songs I have never heard of this song as I haven’t seen “Ghostbusters II” although I have watched the first move (which I liked) and the 80s cartoon when I was younger. Also far more familiar with Ray Parker Jr’s 1984 megahit from the first movie.

My personal thoughts: #25 – This is a guilty pleasure and one of MC Hammer’s best songs #24 - One of my all-time favorite 90s tracks alongside their other hit “Strike It Up” #23 - One of Depeche Mode’s greatest songs. #22 - I like it but when it came to hip hop artist mega-coalitions making an anti-violence record, the better one was “Self-Destruction” from 1989 by the Stop the Violence Movement #21 – Not familiar with this one as I am with their other hits (“A Little Respect”, “Chains of Love”, “Take a Chance on Me”, etc.) #20 – One of my favorite early 90s dance tracks #19 - One of my favorites from the New Jack Swing-era #18 - I like this one but prefer “My Fallen Angel” and “Where Are You Now” #17 – Never heard of it. Plus, I don’t care for it. #16 – Never knew of it until a few years ago as I only knew of her 80s dance hits “All Night Passion” & “Baby Talk” but I have grown to like this one a lot. On this show, ADT plays the house-like Vocal Remix version instead of the freestyle-like album version. #15 – I like this one though I more used to the Technotronic songs with Ya Kid K on the vocals. #14 – I don’t like this song #13 - More used to their 80s R&B hits (“I’m Cool”, “Jungle Love”, etc.) and didn’t know about this one until much later. Sounds good though. #12 – Don’t like this one as I more used to his more-uptempo freestyle songs (i.e. “Spring Love”, “In My Eyes”, etc.) #11 - Good song but my favorites from her are “I Can’t Get No Sleep” and “Love & Happiness” with Masters at Work (the latter track using the alias River Ocean) #10 - Good track by Keith Sweat but there’s others that I like better #9 - I like this one. One of my favorite 90s club records #8 - My 2nd favorite En Vogue songs after “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It)” #7 - Never heard of it until recently. Sounds much like her mega-hit “Been Around the World” #6 - I’m more used to the album version but like the remix version, the Soul IV Seoul Bite mix, heard on ADT better than that one. #5 – Never heard of it despite knowing a lot about “Back to Life” and “Keep on Movin’” #4 – I like it though I’m more used to the album version than the version heard on ADT #3 – One of the best New Jack Swing-era R&B tracks as well as Johnny Gill’s best song. #2 – One of the best freestyle songs ever. Used to heard this one and some of Lamond’s other tracks on B96 back in the day. #1 – One of the best 90s dance tracks ever even if it does get overplayed at times Most Requested #5 – Never heard of it as I’m more used to their uptempo freestyle hits (“Take it While It’s Hot”, “Sincerely Yours”, etc.) Most Requested #4 - Never heard of it as I’m only knew of “Two to Make It Right” and “Heartbeat” Most Requested #3 – Never heard of it as I’m not into ballads, much less ones that have a member of NKTOB Most Requested #2 - Not familiar with this Madonna track. Don’t like it that much though due to its novelty-like sound as it was from the Dick Tracy soundtrack and I prefer many others from her. Most Requested #1 - Never heard of It and more familiar with some of NKOTB's more uptempo songs and don't care about their ballads New Trax – Good, mellow West Coast hip hop tune. Club Trax - One of my favorite 90s dance tracks. Used to hear this one a lot on B96 back then

There's an online radio show called "American Dance Trax Flashbacks" which is based on dance-era (1986-1993) Hot 97 in NYC. Has a countdown format like the original American Dance Traxx, showcasing the 25 songs of that week. It's more based on how Hot 97 sounded during a specific year than rather the Dance/Rhythmic Top 40 format as a whole nationwide during that time period. I listened to the 11/21/1989 show (show #2) and I assume that most if not all those songs were played on ADT's actual show of the week of 11/21/1989. Still worth listening to if you were into the original American Dance Traxx show. Here's their website and Mixcloud channel:

1990 (unknown date from February or March)Note: This show falls between the 2/17/1990 and 3/30/1990 shows as the Discogs link has no exact date (the info incorrectly suggested it was from August of 1990). original link source: www.discogs.com/release/22755149-Various-American-Dance-Traxx#25 - Timmy T - Time After Time Most Request #5 - Taylor Dayne - Love Will Lead You Back #24 - Sybil - Walk On By #23 - The Good Girls - Your Sweetness #22 - Seduction - Heartbeat #21 - Michel'le - No More Lies #20 - The Brat Pack - You're the Only Woman #19 - Doug Lazy - Let the Rhythm Pump #Most Requested #4 - the Cover Girls - We Can't Go Wrong #18 - Impedance - Tainted Love #17 - Rob n Raze feat. Cathy Dennis - Come on and Get My Love My Personal Thoughts:#25 - I’m more used to his 1991 ballad hit “One More Try” but I do like this one.#24 - Decent but I prefer “Don’t Make Me Over”#23 - Never heard of it#22 - Although I prefer the original 1981 Teena Gardner version, I do like this cover version. That said, my favorite track from Seduction is their 1989 hit “Two to Make it Right”.#21 - This was her best song#20 - Never heard of it.#19 - I like this one. One of the best hip house records from that era.#18 - Never heard of this cover of “Tainted Love” as I’m only familiar with the 1981 Soft Cell cover of the 60s UK soul song.#17 - I like this one#16 - the best song Seduction ever did. Since there's no audio, not sure if it's the album version or the remix version.#15 - Never heard of it as I only know of her 1987 song “Why You Wanna Go”#14 - I like this one#13 - Good song though not my favorite from her. However, the music video with her and the cartoon cat was the best music video she did.#12 - I like it. One of her best.#11 - Never heard of it until recently but I kinda like it#10 - My favorite track from the B-52s#9 - Not too familiar with this song but starting to be warm to it#8 - I like it but prefer “Good Life” and “Big Fun”#7 - Didn’t like this one originally due to the off-key singing (though I didn’t knew it was intentional). I do like this song nowadays but my favorite from him is his 1988 song “The Vapors”.#6 - Good but there are other songs I prefer from her like "Vogue"#5 - One of my favorites from Technotronic#4 - Never heard of it until recently as I’m more familiar with other Roxette songs (i.e. “The Look”) but I do like this remix#3 - Horrible! Sounds too much like “Girl You Know It’s True” (which is also bad)#2 - One of my all-time favorite Janet Jackson songs.#1 - One of my favorite early 90s dance tunes and one of the best songs from Cathy DennisMost Requested #4 - Never heard of it. I’m more used to their uptempo freestyle hits (i.e. “Show Me”, “Because of You”, etc.)Most Requested #5 - Couldn’t stand this song as a kid as the AC stations played this too much. Prefer several of her other hits like "Tell it To My Heart" over this one. Most Requested #3 - Decent but I prefer several of her upbeat songs (i.e. “Get on Your Feet”)Most Requested #2 - Don’t care about his ballads and prefer most of his uptempo freestyle hitsMost Requested #1 - Never heard of it until recently but I don't like it.New Trax - One of my favorite early 90s house recordsImport - Never heard of it. Only familiar with their mid-80s dance hits "Happy Station" and "Color My Love".Meanwhile, I just listened to the 8/02/1992 ADT show on YouTube. There's part one and part two. Not sure if there's a part three as part two ends at the #11 song. I'll post the song list probably tomorrow.
