Question for all our faithful listeners:
Post here in reply and tell us if you have discovered or RE discovered a song or artist because of a show we've aired.
List the show it was on and the song or artist. Even if on AT40.

I catch parts of the progressive rock show and find I really enjoy it. I grew up with the bands we all know, so it's cool hearing stuff that to me is really progressive. The other night there was a gap between two AT40 shows and there was a live show played for about 30 minutes and I really enjoyed it. It was never said who it was, and it may have been someone familiar to me, but it was really cool.

Also, I like a lot of mainstream metal, and I'm not really looking for new stuff, but the other morning I caught a Metal Mountain show and really dug a song by a band called Evergrey. Even so I would never listen to that show regularly for reasons I won't get into.

If it was a long instrumental, with solos including a drum solo it was probably Anonymous 2 by Focus.

Listening to Royal Treatment. Very cool show! Never heard "Don't Try Suicide" before. It's a damn good song! You're right, it does rock!

I would like everyone to post something good, bad or indifferent about one of our original shows that we air or one of the 5 music mix blocks.
Basically any of those you've heard once to something you try to catch regularly.
Thanks for the feedback.

I usually listen to the radio as background noise. I am not home much during the day but was Thursday, loved the Triple Play mix, I ended up leaving it on.

Cool. Anyone else want to chime in, that's good.
We're airing Triple Play Thursday all day on Thanksgiving! Keep that in mind.
Anyone listen to the Jazz or Wacky mixes?

OK, had a look at the program logs for today.
The song is Tonight Beneath The Sky by Thijs Van Leer. This is from his 1978 album Nice To Have Met You.. He was the leader of Focus.

I have a few of the songs programmed in the jazz mix. Nice To Have Met You, Pastorale and Rosebud are the other 3 in there, along with a few Jan Akkerman solo tunes and a few by Focus from the Mother Focus album mainly.
