I am in touch with another collector who happens to have some American Dance Traxx shows. I am planning on getting the Top 30 of 1989 & The Decade of 1980's (Decade of 1980's show might be different from the Decade of Dance show) Is that all we need from this collector? Hey Dees Sleaze - good catch!! I looked through my list and can confirm, that except the top 30 of 1989 and the decade of dance special (12-12-89) with Paula Abdul in the No 1 spot, we have all other shows.

My guess would be during or after 1991 Wikipedia says, that DTJB was host of American dance Traxx since March 1992.

Did somebody press the SAP button on the audio stream?

Did somebody press the SAP button on the audio stream? Was that by any chance a reference to "Lambada", #50 on the 4/14/90 Hot 100? (It's what was playing when I tuned in a few minutes ago.)

Oooh, now that should be interesting - I was hoping that more would start to turn up from the mid-to-later 90s.

1997? Ummm no.
Probably, "Dick Clark's US Music Survey"

He's right - I believe the timeline for shows hosted by Dick Clark goes like this: (Please correct me if I have dates/times wrong)
National Music Survey - May 30, 1981-October 26, 1985 Countdown America - November 2, 1985-sometime in 1994/95 U.S. Music Survey - 1994/95-December 2004
He had his stroke in December - not sure exactly when, but from what's out there, I think it was after the week of 12/4. The Survey continued on with guest hosts throughout 2005, I believe, but would then cease production after that year.

It is from a Japanese music magazine.
Dick Clark's National Music Survey (about 230 episodes) was created in May 30,1981 by Dick Clark for the Mutual Broadcasting System. The show counted down the top 30 contemporary hits of the week in direct competition with American Top 40.
Countdown America (about 470 episodes) began in 1985 as a 4-hour show counting down the Top 30 hits of the day. The show switched to 3-hours in 1991 and reduced its coverage to the Top 20 hits. Clark began hosting the show in late 1985. The show continued until the weekend of November, 1994, when its name was changed to Dick Clark’s U.S. Music Survey.
Dick Clark's U.S. Music Survey (about 360 episodes) was the successor to Countdown America. It began airing the weekend of December, 1994, and continued until December 2004 with Dick Clark as host. Following Clark’s stroke in December of 2004, voiceover talent Jeff Robins filled in briefly, followed by permanent guest host Mark Wallengren of Los Angeles radio station KOST-FM. Wllengren hosted the show until it ceased production in December 2005.

Recording today I noticed the usual 128kbps stream is running 96kbps. Did something happen or is it set wrong?

Recording today I noticed the usual 128kbps stream is running 96kbps. Did something happen or is it set wrong? I took it down to 96 for now to see if that helps with the buffering you guys talked about last week. I have not noticed any negatives with sound quality but let me know if you have issues.

I'd like some info on that BBC Carl Cox show. Also I can live with the 96kbps but 128kbps sounds better.

2. The essential mix in BBC Radio 1 shows how large the variety of music styles in the 1990s was. From pop to hip hop and Crap to house music and techno beats the 1990s had many xtreme music styles.

I can return to 128kb anytime. I only changed to see if that was the cause of the buffering heard last week. Any thoughts from others? EDIT: Oh hell (is that word censored here?), I just went ahead and put it back up to 128 since two of you wanted it...

Thanks I don't think it causes the buffering. Like every other C-R-A-P this year I'll blame it on Biden!

Well - I think the station is offline. It say Radio Source Disconnected - Playing Last Record But VLC plays nothing Thanks for the notice, "transmitter" unplugged during equipment replacement...the X is back up!!!!! ^ This would have been after Shadoe on Wednesday - could whatever you replaced (something that went faulty replaced with one that works, or something that you upgraded?) be a factor, possibly? I don't...think, I recall hearing any drops during Friday's ADT, certainly nothing like the jerky in-and-out that would have messed up any part of the show completely. (Saturday, I was admittedly not paying close enough attention to remember except for the part that mattered. )

Yes, but:
Tuesday - buffering Wednesday - buffering after Wednesday - no buffering
The timeline would fit if Wednesday evening was the only time you made an equipment change or else otherwise changed anything - I'm saying that replacement would have happened to "fix" the problem. (But then, I don't know what you replaced...)

I still think the Dems are partially behind Covid because they were that DESPERATE to get rid of Trump & they STILL needed massive FRAUD to do it. Flip-flip Fauci just kinds of backs it up the way he flops more than a fish out of water & that he had money in Wuhan
