I created this station inspired by Jeff Michaels and WBME, in which I was first an avid listener, then admin and contributor over the years. WBME, which I believe is the best listener created station ever done has seen it's share of changes as of course. I remember constantly asking Jeff Michaels how to make my own station and he was always helpful with advice and support. I just didn't know what it would be and how it would be done. When the pandemic hit of course, as you know from your own experiences, our lives were changed forever but it did give more time at home for some and a pursuit of things that distracted us on what was going on in the world, so I created WGXX The X. I greatly felt the needs of our generation to be unmet now and you just don't hear much music from my time growing up on terrestrial radio anymore. I hoped you have enjoyed the journey with me and at least some of the songs and shows that radio seems to have forgotten (unless they and others want to make a buck, of course). This is to let all of you know that The X will be going off air on June 24 To move our studio and transmitter sites. The X will be back at some point after the move is completed, but there will be no new shows for an undetermined amount of time, and the future direction of the station is in question. I will however hope to keep it going as long as Jeff Michaels keeps going with WBME!

I think as long as WBME is around the board will stick around. During the off time look in the message for a few uploaded goodies each week until the return.

Hey Adam, many thanks for your effort so far to your station of so many lost hits and share this fantastic memories of our youth, when the world was analogue and we dealt with problems how can I listen to this station if the fm signal is too weak instead of finding the right station of thousands to listen to in the "www." times. Since things have changed so drasticly in the past couple years, it was even more impotant to that the X was my time machine to bring me back to the good ol days when the world was not as quite insane as it is now where I don´t know if we have power next year for heating, cooking or even listen to the radio next year. Sounds drasticly?! Here in Germany we cut off atomic power next year - so let´s hope the best the there is enough sun and wind after new year to keep the power on for everything that makes our life enjoyable....
Adam I hope you return after the break!! Be sure I´ll tune in if we will have power - only time will tell in this unsure times...

Sorry to hear and hope you'll be back.
Yes, his board will remain. I don't check a lot so someone PM me if a troll goes wild.

Well, I, for one, am heartbroken - this had been my go to place to hear the later-years AT40 shows that nobody else would air. Thank you so much for airing those in the past. If you're able to put those shows back on again in any way/shape/form in the future, please let us know here. Cheers and best wishes.
