if i knew, i would have changed my cue sheet accordingly, although it's never too late to do it, i'll be back with it soon. Thanks Jeff for this opportunity to get the show because my recording failed. Meanwhile, here's the cue sheet for Sept 9, 1967 www.sendspace.com/file/ozsnuvi appreciated to hear for the first time " Requiem for the Masses" by The Association , that's why i love this show .

First time? Really? Love that tune.
I'm glad the features make you like the show more.
Counting the 40 biggest isn't enough for me. I like a complete soundscape for the week in time. Enter the bonus tracks, covers, b-sides, album cuts, etc...

Here's again the cue sheet for the MERC of Feb 14, 1970 but this time with the indication of all tribute songs to Sonny GERACI, i have baptized the file " option B " www.sendspace.com/file/v9kpmsIt's strange : Searchin' by the Coasters was a hit in 1957 and the song you played sounded more like a tune from the '70s . Was it a new modern version by the Coasters ( they sound like the Guess Who )? Also, i wanted to say that i ignored most of the songs of Climax and i must admit they really sounded great, they deserved to have more hits , a song like " Walking in the Georgia Rain " is reallybeautiful .

All the end of hour was Climax. That was their cover.

So every song is them. Name sometimes using Sonny's name along with Climax, sometimes not.

Congrats on the number of downloads on the show. The Sonny Geraci tribute was well done.
One thing, though, Laura Nyro's name is pronounced Nero (rhymes with hero).
Of course, at least you used the 'right' version of Vanity Fair's Early In The Morning--something I didn't do when it was featured on one of my shows a couple of weeks back; when I accidentally used a re-recorded version (arrgghh).
Over all the show was great, so it's no wonder so many people have downloaded it to listen to (myself included)--And you are doing it the hard way (LIVE).
Keep up the good work,
Joe Cantello

I've heard it said both ways.
That's another reason I use 45's, I know its original.

Here's the cue sheet for the show aired last sunday on WRFZ ( that i missed again, no chance with that station ) Feb 20, 1982 www.sendspace.com/file/7v90g7I cross my fingers and hope that Jeff will post this show on proboards.

To be honest with you my purpose is to record the shows for my private collection. I listen through Rarma radio or total recorder.
At the moment of writing, i listen to the Cashbox Countdown live and record it , on Rarma radio.

AT40 The 60's was the original MERC... It changed to the MERC after 3 months.
AT40 The 60's: March-May 2011 MERC: June-August 2011 June 2012 April 2015-Present
Plus specials produced at various times.

MERC IS a great show! I have just under 40 shows, mainly the ones from the 60s and specials. Couple are probably incomplete, but I keep whatever I can record. I started listening in 2015, wished I would have found WBME sooner.....
Side note: Has anyone ever made a surf or Surf & Drag top 40 of the 60s? It's probably tough, since it's probably open to interpretation of what is or isn't.

Hi michigan, i don't understand the meaning of your question : a surf or Surf & Drag top 40 of the 60s? Sorry, i'm french and sometimes it ain't easy for me to clearly dig some expressions. It's a mix of beach music and drag racing music. I suppose in a way it's hard even for me to explain as I wasn't born until 1978. Surf music is like the Beach Boys, Jan & Dean.
www.waybackattack.com/top100-surfsongs.html
Drag racing music is basically songs about fast cars and racing. A number of the groups / artists are the same in both top 100s.
www.waybackattack.com/top100-carsongs.html
I'm certain other people could explain it better, but hopefully this helps. I like a lot of those songs that became popular, but I don't hear many of them too often. My dad told me it was big in the 1960s for a while. Back then racing and beach music was popular together, especially in places like Southern California where it was popular thing to do at that time.

Ok michigan, i understand now.
I've heard only one show like that in 2010 :
National Countdown Show with Al Gross : " Car tunes from 1955 to 1970 "
These specials seems to be rare , most of the major charts shows used other themes when they do or did special shows ( cities, names,sates,colors...).

At some point soon, I will list what we have done, when it first aired (to the best of my knowledge) and the original station that aired it.
This will EXCLUDE the AT40: the 60's period and the first three months (June-August 2011) period of the MERC.
It was retooled in 2012 and that is the preferred, recognized version of the show by us.
The show has 66 "Weekly" style shows and 40 episodes of specials... This has 2 part episodes counting as 2 episodes.

Yeah, I don't see a problem with that. I don't have them online, and it may take a few days to get things going. I'll be busy off and on for a while. I'll try and at least get a list going soon. Note: On some shows, I don't record songs I'm not a fan of as I never think about trading, at the time. And sometimes if the streams drops, I miss a couple of minutes. Sometimes I let it play and listen later on. I'm just too lazy to edit.....

yes that's the problem with the stream. this morning i have stopped recording WRFZ just because of cuts due to buffering. Maybe the station should use a lower bitrate ( 128 Kbps ).
With WBME , stream is very capricious too. Honestly, i don't know if i will continue to record these shows.
if you just want to listen to the shows, it's ok , you can do with some cuts but if you want to record and keep the shows, it's very complicated.

I am surprised you have trouble with our stream.
Maybe it's traffic? not sure.
As for WRFZ. I am not sure what way you were listening today but I know a few were listening and had no issues. That they said anything about anyhow.
