Again this morning, having sound issues with MERC ( Top 100 of '67 , Pt 1 ).
No problem with cashbox Contdown last monday, and no problem with AT 40 ( i'm listening to it now since 30 mns )
So i don't understand why the stream drops only during MERC shows ? Too much listeners at the same time ?
Is it wichtcraft ? did you put a spell on me Jeff ?

Actually when you think about all the places where the signal could run into problems--it's amazing if there are none. 1)There can be no problems with the original source material (show you are trying to listen to), 2) the upload to the internet must have no problems, 3) the streaming company must have no issues & 4) your internet connection must have no dropouts. So when it all works together--rejoice. Joe

I'm not sure. I'm really not. No problems on our end that I see. No error messages anyhow...

Jeff, you may have answered this somewhere before, but I was wondering what chart you used for Top 100 of 1967. I like to follow along when I record them and I couldn't seem to match it up with Billboard or Cashbox. Was it your own chart? Just curious... thanks

It was figured by us, from the Billboard charts. Any song that peaked in the calendar year of 1967 was eligible.

Thank you. Part 2 is next week.
1969 will have one too. At the end of the year we're doing 1968 and in July, 1970.

Hi Jeff,
I'm a bit confused with the lenght of the MERC shows .
Nov 2, 1968 is a 3 hour show while Feb 3, 1968 was a 4 hour show due to many - welcomed -bonus tracks. On the schedule it is indicated that the show runs 4 hour :
Is there a rule to know when a show is 3 or 4 hour long ?
I have seen something about it that you posted a while ago, i can't find it.
Thanks
Jacques

Shows done live on Rochester Free Radio are 4 hour shows. Older versions (60's wise) are 3 hours. 1970 and beyond and specials are always 4 hour shows.
This weekend on WRFZ will be 1968.
Next week 1980 and then the following week a special on Chicago!

Again thanks for the choice of bonus tracks , every time i discover a song never heard before.

In it is Jan Akkerman on Guitar and Pierre Van Der Linden on Drums, later members of Focus. Both played on their hit Hocus Pocus. Their lone album with those 2 guys, self titled, has some amazing covers and great originals and I highly recommend the album. (Other great covers: Scarborough Fair & Reason To Believe) Great originals include: Dark Rose, Woman's Gone & Sea Of Delight.

How do you find the most recent list of upcoming MERC shows on your Facebook page? I saw one with the first 3 weeks of June listed a few months ago, but I can no longer find that listing or any newer listing that may have been posted.

Thanks for pointing out that it's the cover photo. Up until 2 or 3 months ago, the cover photo was always the first thing shown when I went to the "Music Expert Retro Countdown" Facebook page, but now it doesn't show up unless specifically requested. So now I specifically request it each week when I check the page - I noticed that the July schedule was added in the last week.
